This weekend I had the fun and privilege of photographing a child’s party for a three year old girl, who loves Peppa pig. There was an impressive home-made Peppa cake as well as a guest appearance from Peppa herself. Parties make a change from studio portraits, as my aim is to capture the fun of the party, while not interrupting what is going on. For my own children’s parties I am normally so busy running games, sorting food and keeping the kids happy that I only manage to get a few photos of the candles being blown out. On Saturday I could concentrate of getting lovely photos of all the children there, as well as capturing the excitement of the birthday girl. They now have over 200 photos to remember a special day, and to look back on in years to come.
